Being the elopement photographer for this intimate desert gathering was really special for me. From the beginning I knew Nate and Amelia were my people, the kind of people who don’t mind getting dirty, and don’t try to be anything but themselves, completely. Nate and Amelia first met at a brewery, and their first date was only a few days later, a little untraditional, when Nate asked Amelia if she would go camping with him in the Moab desert. That camping trip would be their last first date, and two years later Nate proposed in their home in Colorado. After expressing that he couldn’t wait another moment to be married to the love of his life we began planning their intimate desert wedding for three months later on October 23, 2018.
Nate + Amelia had their private first look among The Fin formations before heading to their intimate ceremony atop a secluded cliff down a dirt jeep road of south eastern Moab facing the La Sal Mountains. It’s hard for me to express how much these experiences mean to me, having such amazing clients that take joy in the same things I do – Love, family, friends, and nature. I walked away from this elopement with two new friends, people who let me put dirt on their face in the name of art. Nate + Amelia, your elopement was one for the dirty, adventurous, badass history books.
