Protecting Your Memories:
You’ve just received your online gallery from your wedding photographer and you’re wondering, what do I do with all these images now?? Well, two things are important before you carry on with life and forget to take advantage of your wedding gallery! The first is to protect your images, and the other is to honor your images. Here are the top ways to do both of those things!
There are a few different ways to protect your images for a lifetime. My top two suggestions are online storage and local storage. Online storage being an online cloud backup such as Google, Dropbox, Edrive, or my new service through your Pic-time gallery. Local storage is a must-have memory drive that stays in a safe place in your home. The most affordable and easy way to do that is thumb drive USBs! These are also a very convenient and affordable way to safely share your gallery with friends and family that might not have access or savvy for an online solution. I can even design a slideshow of your images that you can easily watch directly from your USB.
Recently USB Memory Direct gifted me with some USB’s for my clients, and I’ve been very impressed. I’ve been wary of using USBs in the past because they can be faulty and unreliable, but the quality of these particular USBs has been awesome, and is always backed by USB Memory Direct, and their phenomenal customer service. These real wood SB thumb drives live in your home, providing you a secure way to store your images, as well as a local way to view them that doesn’t rely on the internet. Also, you can always order more for your family and friends directly through USB Memory Direct.
Honoring Your Memories:
After you save a USB for yourself and ship one off to your families, the next best thing is to take some time to print some photos for your home and life! One of the easiest gifts to give yourself and your family or friends is photos from a day that everyone wants to remember. As someone who has a lot of framed prints, and books in my home, I can say it’s one of the easiest ways to brighten a day or take a walk down memory lane and remember what life is all about.
My favorite thing to design for my wedding clients is a hardcover album. Nothing hits you in the feels quite like flipping through a big book of more than a hundred of your favorite images. Large format prints are also a wonderful statement in your home. My favorite way to display it is a trio of one 8×10, one 5×7, and one 4×6. A more fun way to display your favorites is large and small fridge magnets, or calendars.
With how crazy life can be, don’t forget to protect and honor your wedding gallery with a local USB drive, a cloud source, and albums or prints in your home! It’ll be the easiest way to bring a smile to your face while sipping your morning coffee, or looking for a ray of joy on a rainy day.
(This is not a paid partnership, and my opinions on USB Memory Direct’s products are my own!)
