with Amanda + Phil at Summit Lake
This couple wanted two things for their Colorado wedding day: mountains and beer! Amanda and Phil got ready in separate homes with their friend and family in Denver. We decided their first look would be the moment that Amanda was walking down to the lakeshore where Phil would be waiting with their guests to get married. As Amanda walked down the trail to Summit Lake she broke into tears, as did Phil when he struggled to get through his vows. The wind was strong enough that day to be playful and blow her veil while they shared their first kiss as husband and wife. We immediately headed to the top of the mountain for portraits of the newlyweds while their guests headed to the brewhouse where their reception would be held.
Back at New Terrain Brewery in Golden, Colorado the couple got their second wish, Beer! Amanda did an amazing job of making all the party favors and baking most of the desserts, making her a super bride if I have ever seen one. Phil gave a beautiful speech in honor of his bride, and thanking the guests for enhancing their lives. The couple shared their first dance, their favorite beers, and the burger food truck parked outside. It was a rowdy crew of friends, with restroom Polaroid shenanigans, and making funny faces in the photo-booth all night. As a Colorado intimate wedding photographer I love celebrations as unique as this! If you are planning your Colorado wedding day please shoot me a message and let’s chat about ti!
