with Ginger + Jason
This Colorado couples session was special for a few reasons. The first of all being that I met Ginger and Jason on the side of the road on my way to Buena Vista, because we had both pulled over to decide what to do after CDOT closed the road due to high winds and snow drifts. We exchanged info and planned a shoot for their Denver home a few months later. Ginger pointed out that they spend a lot of time hanging out on their roof so up we went! We ended spending most of their home session overlooking the Denver skyline as we experimented with the variety we could capture on the roof.
We left the roof to explore and takeover their neighborhood by skateboard (Jason’s speciality) and finish off the session with some *cheeky* shots. We later learned that there was a second extra special reason for this shoot to take place as it would be their last photoshoot just the two of them. It was so exciting to learn many weeks later that Ginger was just a few weeks pregnant during our shoot and has since had a beautiful, healthy baby girl with Jason. They moved to the mountains to raise her in a small town and build their little rock n roll family. Thinking of having a couples session for no reason? Anytime is a good time to document your lives with a Colorado engagement session or couples session!
