with Kaitlyn + Garrett in Mexico
As a destination wedding photographer I travel all over the world for my clients. Kaitlyn and Garrett flew me all the way to Mexico for their January wedding! Arriving in Playa Del Carmen was a welcome break from Colorado winter, and I was excited to shoot a wedding on the beach with so many palm trees and tropical flowers every where I looked. The happy couple had me come for the entire weekend, shooting their day before and after the wedding. The trip started off with family and friends enjoying their time on the beach sipping margaritas and pina coladas. Relaxing pool side before the bride got ready was the start to their wedding day, leading into a short but sweet beach ceremony while the wind blew in their hair. There is something so special about feeling an ocean breeze while you get married!
The sun went down much faster than we thought it would, so the bride and groom ran around the hotel grounds with me as quickly as we could to get a variety of portraits of the two of them in this tropical paradise. Reception and dancing continued on the beach despite some rain and wind that joined the party temporarily. Traveling to Mexico for this destination wedding photography was a joy in the beginning of my 2020 year. The value of world travel and experience can never be overstated!
