with Ryan + Lindsey at Blackstone Rivers Ranch
This Colorado mountain wedding took place at the lovely and popular wedding venue Blackstone Rivers Ranch just outside the small town of Idaho Springs. The creek runs through the property is lined with thick pine trees and fresh flowers leading to the ceremony site, and the string lights add little sparkles to the background in every direction. Ryan and Lindsey moved to across the country just before their wedding so this made their wedding day in Colorado all the more special with the place that they first built a life together being a permanent part of their memories.
The getting-ready rooms at this venue are so beautifully decorated with the smallest details that really make it unique. The happy couple had a private first look moment together before gathering with their family and friends. The ceremony was heartfelt and included a unique ceremonial combining of sand into a heart jar artwork, along with exchanging rings and vows. The bride ruled the dance party and the evening was one of the most memorable parts of the day, raging until the last minute. They ended the evening with a jacket toss sendoff (my idea because we had no sparklers) which was a funny improvised crescendo to send the newlyweds off after a big Colorado wedding day.
