with Liz + Peter
When a Colorado mountain wedding starts off with golf and beer first thing in the morning you know it’s going to be a good one! Liz and Peter’s Crestview Ranch wedding was on a sunny summer day just outside the town of Granby. Liz’s father walked her down the grass aisle of the backyard at the ranch cabin, and after a tearful hug, an old family friend began ordained their ceremony. Peter and Liz said carefully thought out vows about how they met and what their relationship has endured so far, making everyone laugh and cry and smile with appreciation for their love. Liz’s best friend sang a song for them, and then they shared their first kiss as husband and wife while the crowd went wild.
The rest of the night kicked off immediately with cocktails and cornhole games, then the first dance and speeches inside the ranch barn. Lix and Peter let me snag them after dinner for a sunset photo session, using the variety of views and landscapes we had around the property. We ended our sunset portraits with a few minutes of swinging on the old swing set by the barn, seeing how high they could go while I laid on the ground to get the shot I wanted. For the rest of the reception I learned what a great dancer the bride is, and their friends really like to pick them up. If you are planning your mountain wedding anywhere in the state or beyond, shoot me a message! I’d want to be your Colorado wedding photographer!
