with Meghan + Michael in Estes Park
A Colorado mountain wedding for the history books, Meghan and Michaels special day at Della Terra Mountain Chateau was stunning despite a few hiccups! When the tattooed lovebirds planned a November wedding they knew there would be a chance of snow, and welcomed the idea of a soft blizzard for the outdoor ceremony wedding photos. But when the big day came, Estes Park decided to show the happy couple a big welcome with 70 mph gusts that started at sunrise and didn’t stop all day or night. But NOT to fear! We pivoted, moved everything inside, and continued on with a tearful first look, a comical happy ceremony, and the dance party of the century to close out the reception.
Michael and Meghan’s happy and tearful ceremony was the highlight of the day, where they read their vows, and performed a hand-binding ceremony before taking their first kiss as husband and wife. Della Terra’s main hall makes for the most beautiful reception hall, with big towering window. The rest of the evening kicked off with the couples first dance after their private photo session in their chateau suite. It may not have been the day that they had planned but their Colorado winter mountain wedding in Estes Park was still a beautiful, elegant, and happy day for Michael and Meghan. If you are thinking of having a winter wedding let’s talk! I’d love to help you navigate the ins and outs of having a Colorado wedding.
