with Liz + Steven in Fairplay, Colorado
This intimate Colorado wedding was held at a mountain home airbnb, with only about thirty of their loved ones in attendance. Liz and Steven decided they didn’t want a big wedding, and a small ceremony with just their closest was the perfect plan for their day. Liz got ready with her friends, while Steven and his friends set up the ceremony in the field just outside the cabin. A friend cued the music and Liz’s father escorted her down the deck stairs into the meadow with their people watching from benches Steven built himself. A short a sweet ceremony without vows, preformed by the grooms brother pronounced them husband and wife in just a few minutes.
After signing their marriage license we went straight into bride and groom portraits around the cabin neighborhood. We had plenty of variety with a nearby pond, some dirt road through mountain valleys, and groves upon groves of aspen trees until the sun was going down. Back at the cabin the newlyweds cut their cake, heard some impromptu speeches, and decided to have a traditional first dance under the twinkly lights. The night ended with campfire stories and smores while different family members took turns DJing background music. If you are planning a small intimate wedding like this please send me a message and let’s talk! I would love to be your Colorado mountain wedding photographer.
